The girls and I whipped up a batch of yummy Apple Dumplings, and let me tell you, not only are they delicious, they are super duper easy. I discovered them on Pinterest and if this recipe is any indication of how fantastic the finds on Pinterest are, I am delighted!
What you need:
2 Good Size Apples (peel and cut up into slices, you want 16 slices total)
2 packages of crescent rolls (16 total)
2 Sticks of Butter (melt in the microwave)
1.5 cups of sugar (combine with melted butter)
1 teaspoon of vanilla (mix into sugar and butter)
12 oz Mountain Dew or Sprite
Vanilla Ice Cream (optional)
9 X 13 Baking Dish (greased)
Ready for the Oven - Pre Mountain Dew |
1) Pre-Head Oven to 350
2) Take a slice of apple and wrap it up in a crescent roll
3) Place apple/crescent roll in greased dish- repeat until crescent rolls and apples are gone
4) Pour melted butter, sugar and vanilla mixture over crescent rolls/apples
5) Sprinkle with Cinnamon
6) Pour 12oz of Mountain Dew/Sprite over Cinnamon covered crescent rolls/apples
7) Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes
8) Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
