Menu Monday: BLT Dip

I can't pretend that I whipped this up, because that would be a large fabrication of the truth, in fact we didn't even dine on this divine goodness at our Annual Tacky Sweater Party, but only because I didn't have the fresh ingredients on hand that I needed to make this a reality...next party, this is on like Donkey Kong...

This recipe can be found at The Girl Who Ate Everything or Betty Crocker.  This is what you call party food at its best. And of course, don't forget, Bacon makes EVERYTHING better.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 lb of bacon, cooked, crisp
  • 1cup sour scream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Additional green onions, cooked bacon, tomato and lettuce for garnish (I think I would leave the lettuce off).
  • Step 1:
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    Step 2:
Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, and cream cheese in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Crumble bacon into mixture and stir. Add cheddar cheese, green onions, and tomato and mix well. Pour into a shallow dish or pie pan and bake for 20 minutes or until bubbling. Garnish with additional green onions, tomato, and crumbled bacon. Serve with Fritos.

    Enjoy!!!!
