BEAT LA

I am home, back from a great girls weekend in Boston, I am currently sitting on the couch with Brad watching the Celtics, all while chanting BEAT LA, BEAT LA at the top of my lungs, kidding of course, I know much better than to do anything at the top of my lungs when my little darlings are in dreamland, I am whispering....BEAT LA, BEAT LA, BEAT LA.

It was a great weekend to be in Boston, despite the crappy weather. We went to a Red Sox game on Sunday, I was ill prepared for the weather and had to borrow a sweatshirt from Kristen, but it turned out to be okay weather for a game, not too hot and not too, too cold, but towards the end of the game, we were all a bit chilly and looking for some Hot Chocolate, but we settled for some delicious Thai food instead...and then of course we had to stop for some ice cream on the way home. Coffee Soft Serve with Chocolate Dip.....one of my favorite combos. Don't hate!

(God Bless America I look like the Marshmellow Man from Ghostbusters...Kearstin, the Beautiful Bride-To-Be and her Little Sister)

Saturday Morning we got up bright and early, piled into the car and were off for good ol' Western Mass.  I am so glad that I was able to join in the fun for Kearstin's Bridal Shower and that I was able to celebrate with her as her big day approaches.  Her Mom and Aunt did a FABULOUS job with all the planning and the food. It was so sweet to see how much love and energy they poured into it, they sure do adore their Kearstin.  And they aren't the only ones....man oh man, it was probably the biggest shower I have ever been too, they were expecting 60 people. That tells you a lot about a person...she is clearly well liked.

I flew home yesterday morning, landed around 11am and went straight to the office. On my way there, The Children's House called, Avery was dancing (Dance Class, of course) and she twirled into the cabinet, and knocked her forehead, out popped a huge egg, but that she was fine.  Turns out after inspecting it when I picked her up, its in the EXACT same spot as when she decided to dive off the steps - silly baby. She looks like a little Rhino (as my Dad put it) with that egg coming off her forehead. It was great to see the girls, I savored every minute with them last night as we played, took baths and read books before bed.

I had a very productive flight home yesterday. I finished reading "How She Really Does It" (I can't wait to share it with you, more to come on the book) and spent some QT writing in my planner. For those of you that know me well, you know I would marry my planner if I could. I mean, I love, love, love it. I love writing in in, I love flipping through the pages and just looking at everything I have written, its strange, I know, but I just can't help myself. I started making lists and plans for: Beach Trip 2010, Tacky Sweater Party 2010, Christmas 2010, Vegas 2011, Avery's 2nd Birthday, Olivia's 4th Birthday, Disney 2011, etc. I have a serious problem, I know. But I love how planning makes me feel, it calms me down, helps me put things in perspective, etc.

Keep your prayers coming for Baby Cohen, he has had a rough week to say the least, his little body is in the fight of its life, and he could use our prayers. While you are at it, please pray for his Doctor's and his Parents, I can't imagine the emotions they are feeling, watching their son fight for every breath and every minute of life.
